We LOVE our volunteers!
Helping Hands volunteers logged in over 15,000 volunteer work hours in 2011.
THANK YOU for your dedication, committment and hard work!!
More than half of our clients are children and the elderly
A statistic to ponder: 45% of our clients are children, 12% are elderly. That means, even if the economy was doing well, nearly 60% of our clients would not be able to “get a job” to improve their socio-economic situation.
Clients relying on our assitance rose by 17% in 2011
Last year we distributed 1,138,502 pounds of food to over 28,000 families, representing over 113,000 individuals. The number of clients relying on our assitance in 2011 increased by 17%; we served nearly 19,000 more individuals this year than last.
Through rain, sleet and snow…
Thank you AmeriCorps!!
