Stuff the Bus Food Drive | February 2022

Stuff the Bus Food Drive in honor of Ryan Welch’s legacy

On February 26th, Helping Hands and Skagit Transit challenged the community to Stuff the Bus with non-perishable food donations as well as non-food essential household and personal items.

We would like to thank everyone who came to the food drive and to all who helped make it possible. A total of $12,715 and approximately 11,000 pounds of food and 800 non-food items were donated to support Skagit families.

Recently Ryan Welch’s life of service to our community unfortunately came to an end on this earth, but it lives on through you and your gift. Helping Hands and his family and friends are honored to dedicate this food drive to him.

Special thanks to our partners Skagit Transit, Cascade Mall and Sugar + Spoon as well as all of the incredible volunteers who took time out of their Saturday for the Stuff the Bus Food Drive! We saw volunteers from Skagit Transit, the friends and family of Ryan Welch, Laborers’ Union Local 292, Rotary Club of Burlington, Washington, Marla & Company – Keller Williams Western Realty, Helping Hands Board Members, The American Legion Memorial Post 91 and more! Helping Hands could not have had such a successful event without all of you.
