We all will have enough when we collectively decide to share the resources we do have.

Volunteering is a rewarding way to give back to the community. Here at Helping Hands, we have established an organizational environment that encourages creative leadership, team work, integrity, accountability and excellence for all volunteers. Our staff of trained volunteers contribute all of the labor required to provide daily services.

Approximately 100 regular volunteers put in an average of 1,300 hours monthly to keep Helping Hands Food Bank operating. Additional volunteers are always welcome (and needed). You can help out as much or as little as your schedule permits. We have a variety of different jobs available, depending on your ability and interest.

We have a diverse group of volunteers with 30 over the age of 55, who are a part of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (R.S.V.P.). We also have students and community service workers who regularly volunteer their time to keep Helping Hands Food Bank serving those families and individuals in need.

Every individual has something to contribute and we welcome the gift of your time and effort. Your generous contribution makes this community a better place for everyone to live.

What can I say about the Volunteers but “YOU ARE SUPER HEROES” Not only are you volunteers giving of your hearts and bodies but you are family. In 2016 our volunteers gave us 24,000 hours to feed their community. There is no amount of appreciation that is enough but I would like to say thank you to everyone who has ever volunteered at Helping Hands.
