We all will have enough when we collectively decide to share the resources we do have.

Volunteering is a rewarding way to give back to the community. Here at Helping Hands, we have established an organizational environment that encourages creative leadership, team work, integrity, accountability and excellence for all volunteers. Our staff of trained volunteers contribute all of the labor required to provide daily services.

Approximately 60 regular volunteers put in an average of 1,300 hours monthly to keep Helping Hands Food Bank operating. Additional volunteers are always welcome (and needed). You can help out as much or as little as your schedule permits. We have a variety of different jobs available, depending on your ability and interest.

We have a diverse group of volunteers with 30 over the age of 55, who are a part of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (R.S.V.P.). We also have students and community service workers who regularly volunteer their time to keep Helping Hands Food Bank serving those families and individuals in need.

If you are interested in contributing your time more independently, or wishing to create a positive learning experience for a large group, food drives may be a good fit for you! Learn more about how to run successful food drives by clicking here !

Every individual has something to contribute and we welcome the gift of your time and effort. Your generous contribution makes this community a better place for everyone to live.
