Community Outreach & Events Coordinator

Community Outreach & Events Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • This is NOT a remote position; must be able to be on-site in Sedro-Woolley, WA and other nearby locations as needed.
  • Support the Engagement Team’s initiatives of volunteer recruitment and retention by executing and tracking marketing programs in a timely manner, such as newsletters, email campaigns, events, social media, content marketing, outreach programs, and volunteer databases
  • Demonstrate measurable actions for quality recruitment and retention activities
  • Evaluate and monitor campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics and creating comprehensive reports for the Deputy Director
  • Assist with marketing research and identify trends
  • Engage with community members through multiple channels such as in person, over the phone, and online interactions regularly
  • Maintain up-to-date databases, event inventory, and calendar
  • Communicate with community members and volunteers about the organization and volunteer opportunities
  • Work closely with all departments for volunteer needs
  • Support, plan, and coordinate community outreach events
  • Act as a spokesperson for HHFB and give presentations to groups such as churches, schools, businesses, and service clubs
  • Attend special events to share opportunities to support and meet the community
  • Support the marketing team with social media, emails, website, etc. when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, and Skills Preferred (Not Required)

  • Proven experience in marketing or related field
  • Proven working experience in marketing, community outreach, volunteer recruitment, and event planning
  • Demonstrable experience working with volunteer databases, email, social media, and recruitment campaigns
  • Proven work to show highly creative
  • Experience with Smartsheet, Canva, Hootsuite, Slack, Google Systems, and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Copywriting and proofreading skills
