Helping Hands and the Marathon Anacortes Refinery are challenging the community to Stuff the Bus starting August 12th through the 26th in support of The Cutting Hunger on Weekends (CHOW) program.
The CHOW program started in 2014, supporting one local elementary school. Now, through Helping Hands, the CHOW program is available for children across Skagit County, providing nutritious food for the weekends delivered directly to their door. The Anacortes Refinery including all employees, contractors, suppliers, and truck drivers has been a huge supporter of the CHOW program since 2017.
As a new school year approaches, Helping Hands’ goal is to continue to support kids throughout Skagit County. To impact the life of a child in your community, please consider donating directly to the CHOW program or dropping off food donations at Helping Hands Food Bank & Solutions Center.
If you are located in the Anacortes area, please contact Tara at TJHavard@marathonpetroleum.com to coordinate a local food drop-off location.
